Training Manager - Chris Kettler

Amanda joined our team in 2019 after hearing something that stuck with her—women saying they felt uncomfortable, even intimidated, in traditional firearms classes.
As a woman herself, she didn’t ignore it. She stepped up.
Driven by a mission to create a safe, supportive environment, Amanda now leads our Women’s-Only CPL courses and offers private 1-on-1 training designed specifically for women who want to build real confidence with a firearm.
She’s not just teaching skills—she’s helping women go from uncertain and hesitant to confident, capable, and in control of their own safety.

Chief Range Safety Officer & Instructor - Ron Miller "OT"
I was once asked, “When did you decide to become a firearms instructor?”
For me, it started long before I ever stepped into a classroom.
While in Vietnam, I saw firsthand what guns—and drugs—can do when they’re in the wrong hands. That experience stayed with me. When I came home, I felt a responsibility to do something with what I had learned. I began teaching others how to safely handle firearms and even archery equipment, doing what I could to pass on knowledge that could keep people safe.
Over the years, I built a life around service and learning. As a general contractor and a volunteer, on-call firefighter for 44 years, I’ve spent my life preparing for situations most people hope never happen. Training wasn’t optional—it was necessary. From my early days in school to today, I’ve continued learning so I can stay sharp, stay ready, and stay safe.

In 2012, I was given the opportunity to officially teach firearms classes. After earning my NRA instructor certification, I stepped into my first CPL class—and I’ll be honest, I was nervous. Teaching came with its own pressure. But I knew something more important than my nerves: the responsibility of training people to survive real-world situations.
That never left me.
Now, in 2026, I still teach one weekend a month. Over the years, I’ve trained alongside and learned from countless students—including highly skilled shooters at Centershot Gun Range—and continued advancing my own education through additional instructor courses.
What I’ve learned is simple, and it’s something I stand by:
If you’re going to carry, you must train—so you can stay safe, stay alive, and be ready to help others.

GunSmith & Instructor - Richard Sebree "Dave"
Richard’s path into firearms didn’t start behind a workbench—it started with discipline, precision, and service.
As a U.S. Army veteran, he developed a deep respect for both the responsibility and mechanics behind every firearm. That foundation carried with him when he joined the Centershot Gun Range team in 2019, where he quickly became the backbone of our technical operations as our lead Gunsmith.
But Richard saw a gap.
Most shooters either understand how to shoot—or how their firearm works. Very few understand both.
In 2020, he stepped into an instructor role to change that.
Today, Richard helps students go from simply pulling the trigger to truly understanding what’s happening every time they fire a round—building confidence, precision, and control from the ground up.

His approach is backed by elite credentials, including:
-
Honor Graduate of the Sonoran Desert Institute in Advanced Gunsmithing
-
Certified Glock Armorer
-
Certified Instructor with both USCCA and MCRGO
But what sets Richard apart isn’t just what he knows—it’s how he teaches it.
By combining mechanical mastery with real-world training, he gives students a complete foundation—so they’re not just accurate, but capable.
Whether you’re looking to sharpen your defensive skills, understand your firearm at a deeper level, or have a custom build or restoration done right, Richard brings the experience to get you there.
If you’re ready to train with someone who teaches both the “how” and the “why,” you’re in the right place.
